Customs Intercept N9bn Contrabands In July, Says FOU Controller
The Nigeria Customs Service, Federal Operations Unit Zone A, Ikeja, has disclosed that it intercepted 70 contrabands worth N8.9bn in July.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Customs Area Controller in charge of the command, Kola Oladeji, disclosed this while displaying some of the seized contraband recently in Lagos.
“Within the period under review, we made 70 seizures with a total duty paid value of N8.09bn that was intercepted,” he stated.
Giving a breakdown of the seizures, Oladeji stated that 6,168 pieces of donkey skins weighing 29.606km were seized.
