Amotekun Arrests Man For Defiling Minor In Osun

The Osun Amotekun Corps announced on Monday that a 35-year-old man, Muritala Ibrahim, has been arrested for allegedly defiling a 10-year-old girl in Agba, Osun State.

The Corps reported that Ibrahim was apprehended after the victim’s mother lodged a complaint at the Amotekun Boripe Local Government Area office.

This information was shared in a statement by Yusuf Idowu, the spokesperson for the Osun Command of Amotekun, on Monday.

Idowu stated that the suspect lured the victim to his residence, where he forcibly engaged in sexual intercourse with her.

“Ibrahim also shaved part of the girl’s hair and provided her with a different dress. The suspect was arrested following the victim’s mother’s complaint at Amotekun Boripe Command.

“The operatives acted swiftly and apprehended the suspect at his residence in Agba. During preliminary investigations, the suspect confessed to defiling the girl,” the statement read.

The Amotekun spokesperson further stated that the suspect had been handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution.
