Organisers of the ‘End Hunger’ protest in Port Harcourt, Rivers State have said they will converge at Federal Secretariat, along Aba Road on Monday, to continue their demonstration.

This is according to a meeting flyer obtained by our correspondent on Monday.

The protesters had continued the protests into Sunday, although the turnout was quite scanty compared to the first three days.

They were said to have partially blocked part of the Aba Road flyover with a bathtub, chanting and singing. There was however no DJ or musical instruments.

Some of them could be heard saying that President Bola Tinubu’s speech failed to address their concerns, and as such they were ready to see out the protest for the full 10 days as originally planned.

On Sunday, while there was a significant presence of security operatives, there was, however, no confrontation between the police and the protesters as interactions between both parties remained cordial as before.
