Air Chief Urges Vigilance Amidst Security Challenges Nationwide
The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has directed his personnel across the country to consistently maintain a high level of vigilance and alertness.
According to him, the current security situation bedevilling the country calls for one.
He spoke at the Nigerian Air Force’s Base Socio-Cultural Activities in Abuja on Saturday.
BASA is an annual event held by all Nigerian Air Force units to celebrate the end of the year’s activities and showcase Nigeria’s diverse culture.
Abubakar also promised that the Air Force would collaborate with other security agencies to flush out terrorism and banditry, among others, from the country.
He said, “I must remind us of the security challenges that we currently face as a nation and the imperative for us to constantly remain and maintain high levels of vigilance and alertness.
“On our part as a service, we shall continue to synergize with sister services and other security agencies in our resolve to eliminate all forms of criminalities in the country. Let me, therefore, seize this opportunity to commend the entire officers, the airmen, and the airwomen of the Nigerian Air Force for their commitment and sacrifice.”
He appreciated the president, Bola Tinubu for catering for their welfare and operational needs.
“I also want to sincerely thank President Bola Tinubu for his unrelenting commitment to address the welfare and operational needs of the Nigerian Air Force and the armed forces of Nigeria,” Abubakar said.
